Description This course provides a foundational introduction to the assembly of bolted joints in pressure vessel and piping applications. The course includes an introduction to bolts, nuts, washers, flanges, gaskets, and bolting patterns covered in PCC-1. An emphasis is placed on safety and best practices in bolting with power tools.
Audience Anyone interested in learning basic bolting safety principles, practice and application in pressure vessel and piping application such as Assistant Assembler, Assembler, Tool Operator, Technician, Inspector, Supervisor, Engineer, other professionals.
Prerequisite None, some technical background and exposure to bolting concepts is helpful.
